Expectations of Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy explained in this You-Tube clip.

or try Therapeutic Hypnotherapy

There is a lot of misunderstanding between Stage Hypnosis and Therapeutic Hypnotherapy.

Therapeutic hypnosis is the act of guiding someone into a deep state of relaxation to allow the unconscious mind to communicate with the conscious mind safely.

If you have ever daydreamed on your daily commute or found yourself very focused on something, you've been in a deep state of relaxation (trance state) effectively hypnotised. You are aware of your surroundings but may not be aware of what's being said around you.

However, you can wake yourself up if you need to at any time.

It is natural to be sceptical of things that are not fully understood,

So, if you are scared of being hypnotised so that you bark like a dog or walk like a chicken, I don't practice that kind of hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis is the state of mind a trained therapist can help you reach. You don't have to be mentally weak, and you can't be made to reveal secrets against your will. If you become a client of mine, under hypnosis, you may only reveal what you want to, and it will be kept confidential.

Hypnosis does not have special powers; however, its effectiveness has benefited numerous clients.

The hypnotic trance is a flexible way of solving mental and physical health problems, such as overeating, smoking, and digital addiction.

How does it work? Think of your mind as a computer. It has many files. Some are so deep in their core that some actions are automatic (without prompt). Some of these responses can be unconsciously unhelpful, raising questions such as "Why do I do that? I know it's not good for me or them".

Exploring your feelings through therapeutic hypnotherapy can unlock the cause of those unhelpful responses running unchecked in your life and help you understand it all. Understanding this will help you take those first steps towards achieving your goal.

Hypnotherapy is not recommended if you have psychosis or a personality disorder, as it could make your condition worse.
